For over 300 years, Banyan has taught and protected the Mysteries of the forest. It is Banyan who keeps the mystery why the leaves change their color, the trees shed their cover and stand naked against the sky and the reason why the willow weeps; for it is Banyan along with the other Keepers, who protect the mysteries that lay between the realms in a tiny kingdom at the bottom of the forest. He is forever the Keeper of the Trees.
But that is all about to change. A messenger from the dominion of Chenosh Ashari, the resting place of the wind, arrives carrying news that there is a silent danger secretly encroaching upon the forest, spreading like darkness in the night, threatening all in its path, leaving behind only shadows.
He urges the Keepers to reach out to all the realms if they are to stop this darkness and protect the forest. And Banyan must now become the student; learning the mystical ways of the Ancient Ones, of the 13 Clans and the betrayal that destroyed them if there is to be any hope for survival for the kingdom that lays at the bottom of the Grashot Forest.
